A Picture of Morocco-16:

I took this picture in 2009 in the south region of Morocco. I really like this picture because it is representative of the underdevelopment of the country. Tourists may not think of Morroco as such but actually people still live like this in rural areas; where means of transportation are donkeys and the main roads are dirt roads.
Although this picture doesnt representa hundred percent the Kingdom we live in nowadays, therefore i decided to do some photoshop magic in order to show the contrast and the clash between rural and urban.
As you can see on the modified picture there is a girl who represents modernity (the way of clothing and the shopping bag instead of the traditional Q'ffa), the cab or the petit taxi as a mean of transportation, the mosque which is kinda hidden in the background stands for religion since Morocco's religion is Islam and the TWIN Centers which are found in the city of Casablanca. This picture is very representative of the Moroccan society it combines both the modern and traditional way of living.

Signifier 2-15:

Almost all Moroccan have this beautiful carpert either  in their homes, cars or offices. This carpet represents prayer and the muslim faith. It is impolite and rude to step on it with your shoes.

Signifier 1-14

Rod of asclepius represents health and medicine. this sign is known worldwide. This symbol go back to the Greek mythology. It is associated with the greek God Asclepius who happens to be the god of medicine and healing. Apparently in the US people confuse it with the caduceus which is different because it has two snakes and a different meaning. also when i digged a little more i found out some stats that were gathered based on surveying
American health organisations i found that 62% of professional associations used the rod of Asclepius, whereas in commercial organisations, 76% used the caduceus.
(Baam..!!! i bet you didnt know this Charles).

well now you must wonder why i picked this sign i picked it because every time you are looking for a drug store you look for this sign around the city which represents the  pharmacist. it means medication which will bring health.

Branded-13:

Christian Louboutin is a French footwear designer whose footwear has incorporated shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature. I love these shoes because they are comfortable and simply just gorgeous. So yes I have been branded :)

Goal-12:

  • I want to create my own advertising company
  • Become the leader agency in advertising
  • I want my add to be diffused during the super bowl

Mission Statement-11:

"As a Moroccan young communication major woman, I am determined to bring a major change to the Moroccan advertising industry by bringing creative, vigorous and energetic ideas that will fit the client's needs and revolutionize the Moroccan ads"
S.E

This was my first production in Print and Online Production Skills  class with Dr. Sofia Kocergin. it spells "change" and each letter represents a way of how change can be delivered or achieved. I think it suits my mission statement so i kinda had to put it :p

Figure/Ground Relationship-10:

This is something i made (on paint) it can be perceived as eyes and nose or as simple shapes.

Uniform Connectedness-8:

The principle of uniform connectedness is the strongest of the Gestalt Principles concerned with relatedness. It refers to the fact that elements that are connected by uniform visual properties are perceived as being more related than elements that are not connected. As with the principle of proximity, uniform connectedness causes us to perceive groups or chunks rather than unrelated, individual things.
